About This Game Will Piss You Off

This Game Will Piss You Off is a comedy puzzle game about trying to reach a game. You press Play and a loading bar appears, and it only moves while no ad is open. Then the internet happens: a newsletter popup whose "are you sure" is a double negative, a browser asking for your camera, a video ad stuck at quarter speed, a playable ad with three close buttons and one real one, a CAPTCHA that asks you to select every image containing a CAPTCHA, and a support chatbot that cannot help you. Each obstacle is a small puzzle with a real trick, usually one a normal website would never let you use.

Beat the last one the wrong way and the support bot drops the act. The page breaks, and the game behind it is a place where your frustration has been collected the whole time. There is an actual, smaller game underneath all of it. Whether it was worth it is the joke.

How to play

Press Play. Treat everything that appears as a puzzle, not a bug.
Close things, but read them first; the way out is usually on screen, in the least helpful possible wording.
Settings, playback menus and ads can all be part of the answer. So can looking at something from another angle.
Once the narrator shows up, he explains his rules. Nothing obliges you to follow them.
