About Chill World

Chill World is a 3D place to walk around, built like a daydream of the late 2000s: green hills and wind turbines, glass towers, a sky train, lakes and fountains, and everything a little glossier than it needs to be. There is nothing to beat and nothing chasing you. You walk, look, ride things and find things.

Each part of the island is its own place with its own music: an aquarium dome with a walk-through tunnel, a city with a garden on top of a water tower, a 2007 electronics showroom, a coffeehouse that turns into a library, a school on a Saturday with a gym parachute and a planetarium, a garden with a waterfall, a beach where dolphins swim through the sky, and a set of pool rooms floating above the clouds, reached through doors on the island.

Forty memories from the era float around in bubbles, five in each place, plus three rare ones: a Tamagotchi, a DS Lite, an iPod mini, a burned CD, a microscope. Walk into one or click it to collect it. Finding all forty ends with a sunset.

How to play

  1. Press the Enter button on the loading screen, then click to look around with the mouse. Walk with WASD or the arrow keys, hold Shift to run, and press Space to jump; hold it to float.
  2. Walk into a memory bubble, or click it from a few metres away, to collect it. Tab or M opens the Memory Box, which also has the map.
  3. Press E to use things: the blue kiosk at a sky train station calls the train, and doors and elevators work the same way.
  4. Your memories are kept in your browser. It runs best on a computer with a mouse and keyboard; it lowers its own graphics settings on slower machines.
